2018 Annual Spring Clean Up

Beech Grove Cemetery will begin its Annual Spring Clean Up on Monday, April 2, 2018. Please remove any items that you would like to keep before that time.

Effective March 31, 2016: For Your Safety and the Safety of Cemetery Personnel Shepherd’s Hooks will no longer be permitted in Beech Grove Cemetery.

Any decorations not conforming to this policy are subject to being removed at any time.

Cemetery rules are designed for the benefit and guidance of lot owners. Certain grave decorations present a safety hazard to our grounds workers and visitors. We ask that you lend your assistance in preserving the neatness and careful keeping of the grounds, remembering that whatever is beneficial to the appearance of the grounds is of interest to you as a lot owner.

Any decorations that remain on April 2, 2018 will be removed at the discretion of the cemetery staff.

Historic Tour & Ghost Stories at the Cemetery

Beech Grove Cemetery Historic Tour
Saturday, October 14 at 3:30 PM – 7:30 PM

Take a guided walking tour of a portion of Delaware County’s largest landmark, learn about interesting local historical figures, view historic artifacts from Minnetrista’s Special Collections in the chapel, and join us for refreshments by the fountain. Tours are on the half hour and limited to groups of 20 or less.
Tickets go on sale Sept 15th….$10 in advance at the cemetery office or available at the gate

Hosted by the Old West End Neighborhood Association. Proceeds benefit the cemetery and neighborhood initiatives.

The Gravedigger’s Tale: A Ghost Story Circle
Monday, October 30 at 7:30 PM – 8:30 PM

Join us the night before Halloween to share ghost stories in the most appropriate setting possible. Beech Grove Cemetery has granted us rare after-dark access to their grounds for this unique event. It’s local history. It’s storytelling. It’s ghost stories in a graveyard right at Halloween!

Hosted by Muncie Public Library. This event is free. More details coming soon. This event is strictly ages 18+ only.
